Teach parents how to implement strong writing practices
If you are new to Brave Writer and your child is between the ages of 9-14, Brave Writer 101: Guided Writing Process is the class for you. You, the parent, are the primary participant in this class along with your child. It is the class that will teach you how to implement effective writing practices with your child and how to support and coach the process without burning out. In this class, your child will learn a working method for generating original writing that they can use again and again, and you will learn how to be their best writing coach. You, the parent, are the student in this class and you work together with your child. It's our core class! We offer Brave Writer 101 multiple times each semester.
Brave Writer 101 covers much of the same material found in Growing Brave Writers.
Once you have completed Brave Writer 101, the next step is Brave Writer 102: Stress-free Revision. This class breaks through any resistance to writing and invites playful experimentation with an original draft that brings joy to the process of revision rather than tears!
