I know which products or classes I want—now how do I make this happen?
For digital products
Your first step will be to contact your charter school to let them know what products you would like them to purchase for you. We are happy to accept purchase orders for our digital products, or your school is welcome to purchase these products directly from our store using a credit card.
We are happy to accept purchase orders for digital products. We will send the digital files to the parent when we receive the purchase order, and the school will be invoiced shortly thereafter. Be sure the school includes your name and email address (the parent's) on the purchase order so we can send you the products.
Your charter school may also purchase digital products directly from our store using a credit card. In this case, the school needs to include your name and email address (the parent's) in the Special Instructions box when they check out. When we receive the order, we will resend the products to the parent.
For online classes
Your first step will be to register for your classes through our registration page: Online Class Registration. Choose "Pay by Charter School" as your payment method. This will allow you to complete the registration process without being required to supply a credit card. On the next page, you will be asked to supply the name of your charter school.
Complete your registration, and then contact your charter school.
We are happy to accept purchase orders for online classes. Purchase orders should be emailed to email@example.com. Please note that in order to hold your student's spot in the class, we need to receive the purchase order from the school a minimum of two weeks before the start date of the class. If your school does not submit the purchase order in time, you have the option of paying for the class with personal funds; when we receive the purchase order from the school, we will be happy to refund you.
Alternatively, your school is welcome to pay for classes directly using a credit card. If your school would like to pay directly with a credit card, have them email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and request an invoice for an online class registration payment. The invoice will be prepared and emailed to them.
Some things you should know...
- This bears repeating: For our digital products, it is imperative that we have the name and the email address of the parent (not the charter school). This information needs to be included either on the purchase order or, if paying by credit card, in the special instructions box of the shopping cart.
- The parent will own these digital products, not the charter school. We cannot send materials or login information to educational specialists or administrators in a charter school. The materials may not be forwarded due to copyright limitations (one file per parent and cannot be forwarded).
- If the purchase qualifies the parent for the lifetime membership in the Brave Learner Home, this also belongs to the parent, rather than the charter school. This membership is permanent and does not depend on whether the parent continues to use Brave Writer products or continues to be a part of the charter school. Moreover, we cannot provide access to this site to a non-member (an educational specialist, teacher, or school administrator) due to privacy concerns.
